St Peters Church

St Peter’s Church, Bramerton is undoubtedly the most established organisation in the Village. The building itself dates from the 13th Century and since then it has served the community as a place of worship, Christian teaching, fellowship, and in marking peoples’ life events. Besides being a memorial to all this human history, it continues in this role to the present day. It occupies a prominent location on The Street in the centre of the Village.

Our services in Church are monthly, timed to coincide with significant events in the Christian calendar including Christmas, Easter, harvest festival and Remembrance Sunday. These services are conducted by local clergy are open to all who wish to come.

Further details of Church activity are to be found in copies of “Eleven Says”, the churches’ magazine for local news, distributed by hand every other month to all homes in the Village, and the wider area, to about 2,500 properties in all.

It is the policy of the Church to be open for private thought and prayer. In addition we regularly welcome visitors from near and far to view the Church building and Churchyard. Those visiting frequently comment that they have much appreciated the peaceful moments to be found in visiting and in the enjoyment of its rich history. At the rear of the Church there is a well ordered car park to welcome visitors and other users.

Clearly the Church can only continue to function if it receives the support of the community. If you want to help in whatever capacity, please contact us for further information.
