The Street - Footway resurfacing works

The Parish Council has been advised by the Project Technician, Norfolk County Council, Highways Team, that due to network closures in the area for the next 3 months (namely Anglian Water and City Fibre works) they have been unable to process a closure of the road which is needed to meet their contractors traffic management expectations. Through discussions with their passenger transport team and street-works teams, it has been noted that there has already been many months of disruptions on the local network this year and the bus service is experiencing low confidence from the passengers of its service serving the route of The Street. Due to this it has been asked for relief from more works in the area and to provide a break for residents.

To help with the closure of this road the scheme is now to be planned for the schools summer holidays in 2026 - 20^th July 2026 to the 3^rd September 2026.
